Born in Tasmania 1943
Studied at the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology between 1960-65. David moved to New Zealand in 1967 and held many solo and group shows. A survey exhibition of his work toured major public galleries throughout New Zealand in 1973.
David has lived and worked in the UK since 1974.
His work is ultimately derived from Abstract Expressionism, but additional influences stem from his formative years spent in Australia and New Zealand.
